RasGas awards AlJaber Engineering for project completion
AlJaber Engineering was presented an award by RasGas at a gala dinner event in honour of their completion of the Early Site Works for the Barzan Gas Project- Qatar's largest and most expensive energy project since Pearl GTL, now budgeted at $19 billion.
The scope of work included earthworks for a 1.6 million m² area for their onshore site. This included the major excavation of soft and hard rock, and handling of several million of cubic meters of cut and fill. JE utilized onsite crushing and screening plants to efficiently manage the project which was also a contributing factor to timely project delivery. A major achievement also included 55,000 cubic meters of top soil "saved" with approporiate flora, fauna and wildlife protection as required by Ras Laffan City.
